Marcus Palmqvist, born in Gothenburg, Sweden, he studied photography at the London College of Printing. He now lives and works between London & Sweden.

Palmqvist’s work is fresh and dynamic. With a passion for frozen movements, faded lights, strong colours and crisp compositions, he aims to push boundaries and create new ways of looking at commercial photography. He is inspired by what he sees around him and uses this to inspire his viewers.

Working through his still-image photographic practice, Palmqvist has unearthed a provocative and innovative universe within his moving images. As a film maker and photographer, he has exhibited & screened work across all parts of the world.

In 2019 he won a coveted Guldägget Award for his work with sportswear brand Björn Borg. Working with long term collaborator Frode Fjerdingstad they created a unique and quirky moving image campaign linking exercise to taking happy drugs – manifested in one simple thought: Working out can make you high.

Clients to date include… H&M, , Sony, Nike, Warner Music, Continental Hotels, DJ Otto Knows, Spotify and Weekday.
