SECOND NATURE

Second Nature is a deceptive series of images that interferes with the truthfulness in photography and our perceptions of the natural world. Shot using a mix of both large-format film and digital equipment, the series uses layers of techniques to partly mask the underlying efforts which, upon closer inspection, allow some of the images to be broken down. Alternating between real-life observations, staged interventions, and a mix of the two. Second Nature presents a visual discussion of authenticity between the natural world and photography.
