David was commissioned by Ogilvy and Hogarth Worldwide to shoot a campaign to launch new wellbeing product, Ryde. With a shot of focus, energy or relax, the product range itself spans different needs of the consumer. With David’s photographic strength to connect to an audience through familiarity and humour, this campaign worked in parallel to his work. The campaign recreated day-to-day moments that we can all relate to, showcasing how this new product can enhance the rhythm of your day.
Shot across two weeks, spanning locations in both the UK and Portugal, all elements of production had an emphasis on the uplifting, bright and premium nature of the brand’s visual storytelling. Shot in the depths of winter, locations in and around Lisbon provided bright outdoor scenes reminiscent of long summer days. Totalling fourteen individual concepts, with a cast of over twenty talent, the breadth of the campaign allowed David and his team to collaborate and develop the creative identity of the new product and best representing the brands positioning.
The campaign is being rolled out internationally, with a launch in Australia and Canada already underway.
To celebrate the teamwork of creatives and crew on an international scale, Wren commissioned videographer, Tom Stewart to create a motion piece showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at the production. Working with clips and imagery captured by the crew, the video provides an intimate and raw glimpse into the work behind the camera, and all that goes into delivering the campaign and creative brief itself.
