MARCUS PALMQVIST
Marcus Palmqvist uses light, colour, and movement to craft cinematic mise-en-scènes with a delicate lightness of touch.
Inspired by moments of everyday beauty, Marcus’ world is carefree and insouciant. Shooting across digital and film, Marcus works with unusual angles, environmental interruptions, and careful choreography to create photographs that feel personal and intimate. Optical filters and alternative light sources create an otherworldly aesthetic.
Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Marcus earned his degree in Photography at London College of Printing. For Marcus, also an accomplished director, translating his vision to film comes naturally. In partnership with directing partner Frode Fjerdingstad, Marcus won the coveted Guldägget Award in 2019, for their work with sportswear brand Björn Borg. Marcus regularly works with dancers, athletes, and choreographers to elicit the perfect performance for his projects.
Notable clients include Conde Nast Traveller, Continental Hotels, Google, H&M, Jimmy Choo, Sony, Nike, Spotify, The Sunday Times, Warner Music, Weekday and Wheely.
