Nick Meek was commissioned by Anomaly to photograph a series of disused banks for Revolut’s, “The Salary Wants Out” Campaign.

The campaign explores the concept of change, away from the ‘old’ style of banking, by capturing the liminal spaces within these locations and playing on the eerie and slightly surreal nature of these settings. This creative exploration of ‘liminality’ taps into the theme of ‘transition’ and a sense of the ‘in-between’, playing on the idea of being en-route to a newer way of managing your money.

The campaign received ‘Ad of the Day’ by Campaign.

Nick and his team, travelled to Limerick in Ireland, to shoot the location to construct a series of lighting setups that replicate the would-be illumination cast by the CGI neon-signage featured in the images. By working closely together with the team at Recom Farmhouse, Nick used his photographic understanding of light and its interaction with the surrounding space to direct the CGI artwork into a space of ‘reality’, ensuring that the generated sign worked with the photography and constructed lighting setups.
